Figure Skating Chinese New Year Training Camp – 2016
Important News!!!
The response of the Chinese New Year Training Camp is overwhelming and encouraging. There are strong voices from the parents and skaters of wishing to join the training camp. After careful consideration and discussion with the coach and ice rink management we have decided to allow more skaters to join the camp.
Starting tomorrow (20/Jan) the CNY Training camp application will be re-open. A maximum number of 8 more seats will be added to the camp. Deadline remains unchanged – i.e. January 22. So please grab the last opportunity to get to skate with Mao Asada’s coach.
With the increased number of participants there will be changes to the arrangement of the training:
- The participants will be split into 2 groups for the group training.
- Each group will take 80 minutes group training with a break of 20 minutes in-between. The first session will be as early as 7 a.m. on some days.
- The groups will take turn to attend the first and second session on a rotation basis.
- The coach will not be able to fulfil all the private lesson requests and thus the coach’s available private training hours will be divided evenly amongst all skaters.

To start off the New Year with an exciting news to you - we are organizing a training camp and have invited Shanetta Folle to take it up. If you know Mao Asada, then Shanetta needs no introduction from us as she has been Mao’s coach for years.
As the training camp will be running during the Chinese New Year holidays we will have it done in Hong Kong, the Mega Ice at Kowloon Bay, just to keep you close to all the New Year gatherings, banquets, and most important of all, the red packets. So, don’t worry!!!

Use of Ice Rink
The time period specified in the above schedule represents the actual time available to use the ice rink. Festival Walk Glacier management allows 30 minutes for the arrival of guests and skaters at the rink premise prior to the actual commencement time of each session specified above. All guests and skaters should depart from the rink premise within 30 minutes following the actual finishing time of the relevant session.

Members of the Hong Kong Figure Skating National Team and Hong Kong Figure Skating Youth National Team
Maximum Number of Participants per Session:

․ Not more than 6 skaters per coach
․ Not more than 5 coaches in the same session

The captioned training camp will be held on 4 – 6 Dec 2015 at Dongguan, China. Interested members can submit the application form via fill in the paper-based application form or online application form.
